S&P 500 Passes Its First Test at the 50-Day Moving Average

After trading up more than 1% early on, the S&P 500 looked poised for a disappointing negative reversal in the early afternoon.  However, the decline was stopped in its tracks when the S&P 500 briefly breached its 50-day moving average, turned on a dime, and finished the day up just under 1%.
