this chart raises another question: what would the Dow look like if it were equal-weighted? the names that have suffered least - IBM, XOM, CVX, JNJ - have the most influence, since the index is based on price.

I know it's cherry picking, but as a guess, I'd say an equal weight Dow would be off 35% YTD?
