This week was just the spark to light the fire as far as earnings season goes. Next week is when things really heat up, with 122 reports coming out on Thursday. We went through the companies expected to report and filtered out the ones that will get the most attention. Citi (C) and Genentech (DNA) kick things off on Monday, then three key tech names -- IBM, INTC and YHOO -- report after the close on Tuesday. Bellwethers JPM, KO, MO and UTX report on Wednesday along with EBAY, and GOOG be the most closely followed after the close on Thursday. It's so nice of Google to always report in the evening on the day before options expiration. It always makes for an interesting Friday every three months.
Update - Our initial post had IBM reporting on 10/18, but they are now reporting on 10/16. The expected report dates are unconfirmed and come from Bloomberg or Briefing.

hi...first of all, i truly love your site in general and especially your earnings coverage.
however, u need to verify some of the earnings dates because once in awhile u get one wrong and sometimes it is a biggie, ie BIG BLUE.
IBM is reporting on 10/16/07, not 10/18...
thanks so much for the time and effort u put into your blog.
:)
