Barrick Gold's CEO Says "There's Lots of Room to Go"

On CNBC this morning, Joe Kernan interviewed Barrick Gold's CEO Greg Wilkins.  To start off the interview, Mr. Kernan asked, "Would you hedge here?"  Mr. Wilkins' answer: "No, I think there's lots of room to go in the gold price."

If you're a gold bull, it's pretty positive that the CEO of the world's largest gold producer thinks gold has "lots of room to go."  But the complacency and assuredness in the comment makes us skeptical.  With gold up near $1000 from a price in the $600s last summer, we'd probably be hedging here.  But that's just us, and only time will tell if Mr. Wilkins is right.
