'08 Recession Odds Down to 31%

After a few worrisome global economic reports, a slight pullback in equity markets, and an increase in government bond yields, recession chatter has become the topic du jour once again in a matter of days.  We went to the prediction markets over at Intrade to see whether traders are currently putting their money on a recession in 2008.  Even though recession talk has resurfaced again, traders have moved the odds of one in '08 to its lowest levels since August.  After peaking at just under a 60% chance in early September, the odds are currently at 31.4%.
