Up and Down Streaks; Hess (HES) Up 11 Straight Days, Choice Hotels (CHH) Down Six

Below we highlight stocks in the Russell 1,000 that are currently up or down the most consecutive days.  As shown, Hess (HES) tops the up list at 11 consecutive days, followed by TDW and COP (up 10 days).  On the negative side, CHH is down 6 days in a row, followed by PENN, CHS, BOL, UHS and HTZ all down 5.  We also include how the stocks have done on the day following prior streaks of the same magnitude over the past 4 years.  HES, TDW and COP have not been up this many days in a row in at least 4 years.  When CHH has been down 6 days in a row, it has gone up on the 7th day all 5 times for an average gain of 94 bps.
